- Litigation Software: use Database and Presentation
Software to call up electronically-imaged documents, and demonstrative evidence
exhibits with bar codes during depositions, mediation, ADR, settlement and at trial. You
can access your data from CD-ROMs in your laptop computer or from CD-ROMs stored elsewhere
and accessed by phone lines via the Internet. Cold storage of your CD-ROM archived
electronic documents is also becoming more available throughout Michigan. Court Reporter
Deposition Text can be positioned side-by-side with video deposition testimony from a
CD-ROM and played back with ease.

- Live Presentations:
draw or point on a computer image, video tape, or a live video
camera for color highlighting and drawing attention to
important details during depositions, mediation, ADR, settlement and at trial. You can
readily use small color video cameras to electronically display x-rays, photos, 35mm
slides, 3-D physical evidence on TV monitors or big video projector screens. That helps
prevent potential copyright problems usually associated with physically enlarging paper
documents to poster-sized prints. Today's video projectors are suitcase-sized, weighing
only 10-12 lbs.; they set up easily without mountains of cables to trip over and can be
used without turning room lights off. You can add a laptop computer, video tape players,
or a small document camera to that equipment mix.
- Real-Time Reporting: use or promote the use
of real-time reporting during
depositions and in court. Court reporters using computer-assisted stenography machines
make witness testimony appear instantly on a computer screen or monitor. This allows
attorneys to see the spoken words as witnesses testify, thereby, permitting a more
detailed examination or cross examination. The marking of notes on an attorney's notebook
computer screen eliminates the need to rely on memory or hastily handwritten notes.
Finally, real-time reporting creates an immediate transcript to assist in preparing for
closing arguments.

- Multi-Media Computer Consultation, Sales And Service: rely on computer
professionals to provide you with consultation on selecting a laptop computer for use
inside and outside your office; use it to find and display documents and exhibits during
depositions or courtroom displays. You can rent both computers and software; get on-site
support, equipment set-up and training on how to use this litigation technology.
- Jury Research: test your exhibits, arguments and witnesses before you go into
court by using an interactive computer and hand-held meters to record the individual
responses of jurors during mock trials and focus groups. Usually, these results are
available that same day; you don't have to wait a week like with hand-written tests.
